AGF-logo-smallThe American Grappling Federation

The American Grappling Federation (AGF) was founded on October 2011 with its sole mission to deliver well organized, professionally run, and affordable brazilian jiu jitsu tournaments for both kids and adults alike. The AGF has set the goal of constantly delivering the perfect tournament experience for each competitor making our tournaments, ones to not miss. We seek and solicit the feedback of coaches and competitors on areas we need to improve. Our desire to provide and deliver such a perfect experience has resulted in the AGF’s tremendous growth with constant praise of our events.

Carlos Diego Ferreira vs Rafael Santiago at the AGF Fall Classic

The 2013 tournament season for AGF has been phenomenal! Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments have included events in Austin-TX, Dallas-TX, Houston-TX, Oklahoma City-OK, Springfield-MO, and Tulsa-OK. The Oklahoma City Open was our last event for 2013 and was the largest and most successful bjj tournament we’ve held. The upcoming 2014 tournament season will see us revisiting the same great locations as well as expanding into new markets such as Little Rock-AR, St. Louis-MO and Baton Rouge-LA.

The AGF was voted the Best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament in Texas

In a survey conducted by TXMMA.com, the American Grappling Federation was voted the best BJJ tournament circuit in 2013 by our competitors.

But we won’t let that stop us from making improvements! Check out these changes:

  • 8 Full sized rings
  • Senior division for competitors 40 years and older
  • No submission divisions for Tiny Kids (ages 4 – 6) in both gi and no gi
  • Gi and No Gi weight classes now are the same weights
  • New weigh in format to ensure less waiting
